Xanadu is a Canadian company specializing in quantum computing, but uses photons to encode information rather than superconductors. The company claims to have achieved quantum supremacy in a recent experiment, taking over the leadership that was contented by Google and research organizations in China. The goal for quantum computing is to reach one million quibits, only then we will see the transformation of many industries. Researchers and developers can have a hands-on experience through Xanadu Cloud, the company’s photonic quantum computing platform, as well as through AWS.
