The instructions for using the pricing gun were held up in the mailroom for 4 months...along with several FDA reports that had something to do with baby formula.
@Tree Carcass Mangler I have never understood how crap can be drug out for days, months, years even when it is just a matter of saying do it. I would have a plant full of people. 400 employees. Each one depending on the plant operating at the best level it could achieve so they got paid and put food on the table. The jobs rode on whether the plant worked. Lights, water, shelter, any one of those failed and the plant shut down. My job was to make sure that the lights stayed on, the water went where it was needed, and the roof and walls stayed standing. When they didn't, I had no time to wait for a congressional study or the FDA to tell me how to get it back up and running.
The FDA has no skin in the game. If they fail to do their job nothing happens to them.
Who is the FDA? Could you point at one and say they did it? Nope. They are a faceless committee. When the plant stopped working you could point at me and say he did it. I did my level best to make sure that when bad happened it didn't last one second longer than it absolutely had to.
