This object was captured on the surface of Venus by Venera-9 spacecraft

Venus lander Venera-9 captured interesting objects on the surface of the planet. First ever shot directly from the surface of Venus was taken on October 20, 1975 within Soviet study of the planet Venus. Brown University (USA) was in close cooperation with Soviet Union’s Venus program. Years later Some of the raw digital data from Venera-9 was found in Brown University including he first full panoramic sweep with periodic telemetry bursts, and a second version in which some telemetry bursts have been replaced with sections of the second panorama from Venus.
