corporate ventures for BASF’s Coatings division. The team of the Digital Incubation Unit firmly

The Digital Incubation Unit is represented at two sites: Münster, Germany, and Shanghai,
China. The unit focuses on the fascinating interplay between the challenges of the automotive
and surface treatment industry and the opportunities offered by digital trends. The goal of the
Digital Incubation Unit is to address pain points with digital solutions – not least by examining
potential business sectors of the future. Its mission is to be proactive in shaping the today and
tomorrow of BASF Coatings with disruptive digital solutions.
