The Bizarre History of The Bili Apes | Lion-Killing Apes Among Us?

We don’t fully understand ourselves. To do so we must learn about our cousins and ancestors. Unfortunately, today we are limited to the great apes. If there’s a new species of great ape hidden away from us, then they hold another page to the book of the human story. That hidden page would unlock a whole new chapter in our story, making acquiring and protecting said page top priority. One such page might lie in the forests surrounding the city of Bili in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. This page details an enormous 6 ft tall aggressive ape species that appears to be a cross between gorilla and chimp. Is it real? A hoax? A bit of both? Let’s figure it out!
