Quick introduction to targeting Windows with Delphi and the Visual Component Library (VCL)
When you want to build a Windows-only application the VCL should be your first choice as it is based on the Windows API, making applications built with it extremely fast and efficient. In this second video, Alister builds the classic “add items to a listbox” demo. He then makes the user interface a bit friendlier by adjusting some properties and events on the controls, and finally he looks at the various files that are generated by Delphi and explains how they relate to the project.
