The Sony Xperia 1 IV is officially confirmed to be announced at an event scheduled for May 11, and could be joined by the Xperia 10 IV mid-ranger. Pricing details of the two phones for the European market have now leaked ahead of time, and it appears Sony is readying another price increase.

Sony is apparently geared to unveil two new devices on May 11. The flagship Xperia 1 IV will be announced at the event for certain, and is expected to be joined by the mid-range Xperia 10 IV. A new leak has now revealed more details of the two devices ahead of that date.
As revealed by SnoopyTech, the Sony Xperia 1 IV will cost €1399. Earlier rumors claimed the flagship phone could cost a whopping US$1600, and this would hardly be any better. This leak would mean Sony has now raised the price of its main flagship phone every year. The Xperia 1 cost €949, the Xperia 1 II €1,199, and the Xperia 1 III €1,299. Another €100 price bump is disappointing but follows the trend.
As for the mid-range Xperia 10 IV, the leaker claims it will land with a €499 price tag. That would, again, be an increase from last year's model, with the Xperia 10 III retailing at €429. The Xperia 10 III received flak for its poor cameras and fans of the series will be hoping Sony improves on that at the very least. Supposedly, the Xperia 1 IV will be available in color options of Black, Violet, and White. The Xperia 10 IV is said to come in Blue, Green, Violet, and White.
