Please read the textbox/description first. In this video I talk about connecting, re-connecting, re-wiring, repairing and maintenance of cheap Chinese solar garden lamps, sold by the 100 or 200 thousands or much more (at least in Europe: Netherlands, France, Germany, Spain etc.) from which almost all of them don’t work longer than 1 year or 1.5 year due to moisture, corrosion of wires, bad solder connections, swollen up NiCad or NiMH (rechargeable) batteries of (say) 1.2 Volt, etc.

Correction to the video: on 2.05 I say “that there is no real problem about recycling these or other tiny electronic components” but of course I mean: there is a real problem!
Because these things are tiny and there is (often/in general) not a good process to take the precious metals etc. out.
It is an enormous spillage of precious electronic components, etc. Here I show the problems and how you can give them a long or longer life. They don’t have to end in the landfill or in the crusher after 1 or 1.5 years.

Say: replace them in a moisture free (sealed) glass jar, cover the component board with laquer or so, rewire the unit with better quality wiring (read: not flimsy), use a good quality (say Varta) NiCad or NiMH 1.2 Volt battery instead of the cheap tiny cell that in China was soldered into the circuit board, etc.
