After catching TA-Local in Havana, the train stopped to work a customer in Hinson while I drove on up across the state line to this crossing just south of Attapulgus, GA. After about an hour of waiting here, TA-Local eventually arrived and I caught it one more time on their northbound trip. After this, I went to the next crossing north to get it documented (as it's only used for storage and doesn't appear to see regular use these days).
This crossing is another nice one, featuring a CSX install from 1993, based on the dates I found on the data panels on the cantilever masts. It also still a "pure" 1993 CSX install, given that no major changes appear to have occurred here since then. Both WCH mechanical bells are still here and work, though they both do seem to skip/clatter a beat occasionally. I also noticed the farther one sounding a bit worse than the closer one, so I think it's starting to be on its way out. Hopefully the FGAR gives the bells here a bit of TLC, and that the FGAR keeps this pure 1993 CSX install intact.
