Pipes Avenue Railroad Crossing, Clanton, AL

*originally recorded on 6-26-22*

Signal on the left: 4 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights, a Safetran gate mechanism, and NEG LED gate lights.
Signal on the right: 3 pairs of WCH 12x24 inch lights, 1 pair of Safetran 12x24 inch lights, a General Signals Type 2 electronic bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, and NEG LED gate lights.

A little bit after M523 passed, the local freight we'd seen earlier, L677, came down into Clanton and stopped just north of this crossing. They then cut-off their power, a pair of ES40DCs, to run around their train using the siding here.

Nothing too much has changed here since I last recorded this crossing. Unfortunately, CSX replaced both gate arms here in the years since though, and all of the gate lights at this crossing are now NEG LED ones. No other major changes though, which is nice to see.
The front lights on the mast signal were also realigned so that they face the same way now.
