ITU estimates that at least $USD 428 billion is required to achieve universal connectivity by 2030. The figure is indeed high…but not investing in connectivity might even be more costly as it could potentially hinder the socio-economic progress of nations.
Knowing the magnitude of the financial gap required to achieve universal meaningful connectivity is important, but equally so are the financial models required to fund that gap.
The Focus Area 4 of P2C aims to catalyse the development of innovative financing models, ensuring that connectivity projects are viable and bankable, and attracting new donors and investors.
Are you ready to try new approaches to drive more investment and financial resources to help connect the unconnected?
