Misty and her husband, Trent, were out of town and their 18-year old son, Austin, was home alone, watching TV at 9 p.m. when Amazon Echo alerted him that their Ring Video Doorbell detected motion.
Austin was surprised, as he didn’t expect anyone, so he went to the door to check what it was, and saw a massive wildfire outside their house. He immediately called 911. The firefighters arrived within minutes. While they were fighting the blaze, Austin updated his parents in real time through their Ring doorbell. The fire was stopped before it got to the house.
“Ring doorbell truly saved our son, house, and land,” says Misty.
