Mycroft's Mimic 3 - A Privacy-focused, open-source Text to Speech Engine

Mimic 3 is a powerful open-source text to speech engine, brought to us by Mycroft AI. Mycroft is known for their virtual assistant reference devices, but did you know that you can download their TTS engine separately, and run it on any device you wish? You absolutely can, and best of all, Mimic is open-source and the latest release, Mimic 3, is available now. It's even been optmized to run on constrained devices, such as the Raspberry Pi. This means that you can benefit from text to speech, without relying on the cloud!

In this video, Jay will show off Mimic 3, such as where to download it, and examples of synthesizing text in a web console as well as in a terminal. Also, since this project is open-source, perhaps you'll consider contributing to it? It's definitely a fun project to work on!
