6/28/2022 MT Shasta in Northern California...upon Arrival I came across a forest service geologist.. Beal.. an awesome guy who explained what we are seeing in various alert wildfire cams.. This is indeed dust/ash/dirt from rockfalls and settling of the deep canyons in this area of Mt Shasta...Mt Shasta still has snow and a few remaining glaciers which are melting in that canyon where ash and soot is being sent into the air from rockfalls... upon closer inspection with my cameras, there is no steam vents or ash being blow out of the ground here.. Beal will be sending me a link to this process soon and I will forward it to everyone... Facts are facts and I'm 100 certain after seeing the canyon up close and talking with a local geologist who knows his stuff, that this is ash/dust being sent into the air from rockfalls and settling from melting glaciers..
