Signal on the left: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights and a General Signals Type 2 electronic bell.
Signal on the right; 4 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights and a General Signals Type 2 electronic bell.
After the three northbound trains came through, I saw the signal to my east had upgraded to clear after the third one, so I realized there must've been another southbound lined, and was likely meeting the three northbounds in another siding somewhere nearby. And I was correct, as this re-routed southbound mixed freight (I think he was calling as X605 or something like that?) was waiting in the siding on the opposite side of Talladega for the three northbound to pass. Thankfully, I was able to get across Talladega and beat him to this crossing with a bit of time to spare. Here we see this extra mixed freight passing through with a UP ES44AC leading a UP SD70M and a UP AC44CWCTE.
Thankfully, as you can see, no major changes have occurred to this crossing since I last recorded it, and the gateless incandescent 90s CSX signals are still around here. Hopefully they remain unchanged for many more years to come.
