Lincoln Street Railroad Crossing, Tullahoma, TN

*originally recorded on 5-28-22*

Signal on the left: 1 pair of Modern Industries 8 inch lights, 1 pair of Safetran 12x24 inch lights, 4 pairs of Modern Industries 12x20 inch lights, a Safetran gate mechanism, and NEG LED gate lights.
Signal on the right: 1 pair of Modern Industries 8 inch lights, 1.5 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights, 1.5 pairs of Modern Industries 12x20 inch lights, a General Signals Type-1 electronic bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, and RECO LED gate lights.

Given how great of a catch it was, Ethan and I decided to chase S821 south on the Chattanooga Sub. We decided to chase it down to Tullahoma, since that'd give us the best chance of getting well ahead of it. When we got down here and got set-up, we saw that there was a northbound lined into the siding to meet the S821. After about half an hour of waiting or so, S821 appeared to our north and shortly after that, this northbound mixed freight came rolling through with a UP SD70ACe leading a CP AC44CWM and a CSX ES44AH. Definitely a nice and colorful lash-up on this guy, and it was also nice getting to see another CP unit.

As you can see, there have thankfully been no major changes to this crossing since I last recorded it. Amazingly enough, despite CSX upgrading the crossings in Tullahoma to LED a few years back, this one has managed to remain entirely incandescent, and even still has the 8 inch mast lights on both signals. The GS Type 1 is also still here and still sounds rather nice. Hopefully no major changes occur to these signals for many more years to come.
I'm also glad I was finally able to get a better video of this crossing, given the fact that the wind blew over my camera last time I was here.
