These are the 3 different approaches utilized to remove stones from the common bile duct through the cystic duct. This is usually performed while also removing the gallbladder when stones are also present in the common bile. The 1st approach is just under fluoroscopy or x-ray, the 2nd approach is using a separate camera to visualize the common bile duct and remove the stones with a basket, the 3rd is also with a camera but using lithotripsy to break up the stone.
