Ice Mountains and Fog on Pluto registered by NASA’s New Horizons spacecraft within closest approach

NASA’s New Horizons spacecraft completed closest approach to Pluto and captured Ice Mountains and Fog/Haze on this far planet. New Horizons spacecraft captured a near-sunset view of the rugged, icy mountains and flat ice plains extending to Pluto's horizon. Incredible detail of the image allows to dive right into Pluto. Actual image was taken from a distance of 11,000 miles (18,000 kilometers) to Pluto; the scene is 230 miles (380 kilometers) across. Closest approach to Pluto happen on July 14, 2015. NASA also registered Fog/Haze formation on the surface of this planet.
