How to Open and use Windows Task Manager

In the Windows Task Manager, you can check the hardware performances, App History, and can do lots of other activities for the running application. In this video, we will learn, “How to open and use the Windows Task Manager”. Follow the steps as shown in this video.

1. You can open the Windows Task Manager in different ways.
2. The first way is to right-click on the taskbar.
3. From the drop-down list, click on the Task Manager and this will open the Task Manager window.
4. The second way is to right-click on the Start Windows icon, and then click on the Task Manager from the list to open it.
5. Let’s open the Task Manager Window by clicking on the taskbar.
6. In the first tab of the process, you will find a list of many processes which are running in the background and also the name of running applications.
7. In the process tab, you will also find the information about the usage of Disk, CPU, Memory, etc.
8. If you find any suspicious process that is running on your PC then close it. Be careful, if you don’t have the knowledge of which process is running for which purpose then please don’t close any process. Because the running process may be important for Windows.
9. To close an unwanted process, right-click on the process name, and then click on the End task option from the drop-down list.
10. Click on the Performance tab, and there you can monitor the performance of your hardware like CPU, Memory, Disks, Ethernet etc.
11. App History tab shows the information on installed Windows Apps.
12. In the Startup Apps, you can see the list of programs that automatically starts when you Sign in on Windows. If you do not want to run a program at the time of Windows Startup then you can right-click on it, and select disable from the drop-down list.
13. You can also disable or enable a program at startup by clicking on the Start Widows icon, and then click on the Settings option.
14. In the Settings window, click on the Apps option.
15. Click on the Startup on the left side panel, and then click on the On or Off button to enable or disable an app for the Startup.
16. Users tab shows you a list of signed-in users.
17. In the Details tab, you will get the details of the running process.
18. In the Services tab, you can see a list of running services. Please do not start or start a service unless you have a piece of good knowledge about the running services on your PC.
