If your business is registered with GS1 and has received a prefix number. Now, do you want to create a barcode for your product? Then, this video will help you. In this video, we are going to create an EAN-13 demo barcode. Let’s see the steps.
1. Open your web browser.
2. In the web address bar, type barcode.tec-it.com and press the Enter key on your keyboard.
3. This website is a free barcode generator, and you can create many types of barcodes here.
4. On the left side scroll down the barcodes list and click on EAN/UPC barcode type.
5. This will open a list of multiple options of EAN and UPC barcodes.
6. I am going to click on this EAN-13 barcode category from the list.
7. You will see 13 digits in the Data text box on the right side.
8. First, you have to select and delete the existing Data sample text, and then type the prefix of your company that is given by GS1.
9. For demo purposes, I am going to type randomly any 13 numbers in this text box.
10. As these are demo numbers, I have used 9 as my prefix.
11. Keep in mind there, when you type your product number along with prefix then should not be any space in between these numbers.
12. Once you have entered all the 13 numbers, then click on the Refresh link.
13. This action will generate a new barcode based on your numbers.
14. Now, click on this Download button.
15. Choose the location on your PC to save this barcode in GIF file format, and then click on the Save button.
16. Open the GIF file from your PC to see your newly created barcode.
Wasn’t that quick and easy? Thanks for watching!
