You may have movies or videos in a different file format. In Windows, you can play all supporting video formats. In this video, we will try to use three different media players to play a video. Follow the steps as shown in this video.
1. Windows Media play can play a video or movie in .AVI, .MP4, .MPEG, .MPG, or .WMV format.
2. Click on the Start Windows icon.
3. Scroll down the programs list.
4. Click on the Windows Accessories folder.
5. Scroll down and click on the Windows Media Player.
6. In the Windows Media player you can drop a video or open it from your saved location.
7. Let’s select this video thumbnail, and click on the Play button.
8. This will play the video.
9. Close the Windows Media Player window.
10. If you have installed QuickTime Player on your Windows PC, then it can play the .MOV and can play many other supporting video file formats.
11. Double click on the QuickTime Player to open it.
12. Click on the File menu at the top left, and click on the Open File submenu.
13. Select a video that you want to play, and click on the Open button.
14. Click on the Play button to play a selected video.
15. Close the QuickTime Player.
16. Another multi-video format player is VLC Media Player. It a free software.
17. Double click on the VLC player short link on the desktop.
18. Click on the Media menu at the top left, and then click on the Open File.
19. Select your video, and click on the Open button.
20. It will auto-start playing your video.
