Hobbs Road Railroad Crossing, Huntsville, AL

*originally recorded on 5-4-22*

Signal on the left: 3 pairs of WCH 12x24 inch lights.
Signal on the right: 2 pairs of WCH 12x24 inch lights, 1 pair of WCH 12x24 inch lights with Electro-tech LEDs, and a WCH Type 3 electronic bell.

After the siren test on May 4th, I was hanging out with @MadisonCountySirens for a bit when we heard the HMCR in the distance. After we finished talking, I decided to ride over to the HMCR to see what was up, and found them switching on the north end of Rocket. As such, I went up to this crossing to set-up, but almost let them sneak-up on me (not helped by the fact I didn't bring my scanner, as I wasn't expecting to catch any trains on this day). Thankfully, I was still just able to get set-up in time, and here we see two of the HMCR's Dash-8s, 8539 and 8560, hauling a pretty decently-sized 15-car train north to downtown Huntsville.

As you can see, nothing has changed here since I last recorded this crossing. Seems it does a tail-ring malfunction when heading north now as well, though.
