At BASF, natural sciences are close to our hearts. In everyday life we encounter many scientific phenomena. And numerous socially relevant issues require scientific solutions. Therefore, we would like to foster an interest in science and encourage curiosity. In hands-on chemistry workshops called Kids’ and Teens’ Labs, girls and boys get to be researchers and discover the world of science. Around 1,2 million kids and teens in 45 countries around the world have taken part in experimentation programs since the first workshops in 1997. It is important to us that the participants can experiment independently in the Kids’ and Teens’ Labs and find answers to scientific questions. The activities are part of our sustainable societal engagement in the vicinity of our sites with which we seek to add to a cohesive society by supporting and safeguarding health, skills and resources.
