One of the things I'd seen on Google Street View around Mobile that I wanted to make sure I visited was this intersection which still retained a full set of 8 inch signals, the only ones in use in the city (as far as I'm aware). In fact, not only is it fully 8 inch, the signals also still appear to be fully incandescent, and there's a nice variety of vintage signals here as well, with a trio of single-face Decos, a pair of rodded flat-backs, and a pair of TSI signals (along with a lone Crouse-hinds Type R). Two pairs of the signals also still feature sign-blank style backgrounds (similar to what Huntsville uses). Seems Mobile used to use these as well, but I think they've long since stopped using them.
Either way, this is a very neat little intersection and I'm glad I took my time to document it, especially since it let me see more single-face Decos.
