After catching the mixed freight in Bay Minette, I continued on documenting crossings along the M&M Sub. While documenting the crossing here in Perdido, this mixed freight snuck up on me. Thankfully, I was just able to grab my tripod and set-up in time to film it, but barely. The train had an ES44AH leading an SD40-2 and another ES44AH. Probably not the most interesting lash-up out there, but the SD40-2 was still fairly neat to see, IMHO.
Bit of a shame that I couldn't get the crossing filmed, but it wasn't exactly the most interesting install anyways. Just a pretty typical early-2000s CSX install with one working GS Type 2 and one dead GS e-bell (no doubt a GS Type 2 as well).
