How do I look? Dating season is over for beavers, but we still like to look our best, right?
A visitor, who was enjoying wildlife watching at the Fernald Preserve, filmed this beauty as it takes a moment to spruce up during a respite from lodge life. Back at the den there may be one to four new baby beavers (called kits) as well as last year’s young. It’s a busy life at the lodge. Beavers have adolescents and kits in the house at the same time! When young beavers reach two years of age, the parents send them out to conquer the world on their own.
