A Hitchhiker on Mars?!? #shorts

The Perseverance rover on Mars has picked up a hitchhiker.

The Perseverance is a car-sized Mars rover designed to explore a giant crater, Jezero, on Mars.

It was launched on July 30, 2020. But now it seems to have a pet rock.

This rock hitchhiked for 5.3 miles aboard the Mars Rover so far.

It's not doing any damage to the wheel, but it's so far from home that when it finally does fall off, it may land amongst rocks very different from itself.

Let's hope that doesn't confuse future Martian geologists.
