On August 2, 2022 James Webb Space Telescope’s processing team published NIRCam and MIRI Composite image of Cartwheel Galaxy in incredibly high resolution. This galaxy formed ~400-500 million years ago. Cartwheel consists of two rings expanding from the central region like shockwaves. The form that the Cartwheel Galaxy will eventually take, given these two competing forces, is still a mystery. JWST technically took the image of this Cartwheel Galaxy in June.
