3D Printed HAAS CNC Auger Covers to help eliminate CHIP BUILDUP!

Chips love to build up around angular parts of the machine as well as the base of the chip augers. Clearing out mounds of chips was a hassle and we've been through different solutions over the past year including a 3D printed auger extender that was "cute" but ultimately failed. This time, we took a practical approach that uses a force that's free and accessible: GRAVITY!

This 3D printed auger cover looks like a tiny house roof and it gets the job done! Let's walk through the Fusion 360 CAD model, the loft command, how to prepare and install the auger cover, and some additional helpful tips! Feel free to share any 3D printed items you've made for your shop in the comments below!
