In this episode of the UCLA BrainSPORT Podcast, Harvard Assistant Professor of Neurology and Neuroscientist at the Italian Institute of Technology, Dr. Lorella Batteli, and Adel discuss the use of non-invasive neuromodulation.
In Part A, the pair first discuss neuromodulation for brain injury and other pathological states. They first focus on Dr. Battelli's research investigating the use of transcranial neuro-stimulation to improve attention and vision following brain injury. They also discuss how neurostimulation actually improves brain injury and the different modalities of neuro-stimulation and their potential benefits, particularly transcranial magnetic stimulation.
